first open session in Odemira

on July 14th, the first open session for the prison community of Odemira took place. more than 40 women participated in a session that lasted approximately 2 hours. we encouraged body awareness, expression, and connection through different technical exercises and improvisation. these one-off actions aim to reach a larger number of participants and foster inclusion and closer ties between the prison community and dance, as well as the corpoemcadeia project. the session was facilitated by resident artist Marlene Vilhena, in partnership with the project director, Catarina Câmara.

corpoemcadeia-cc in Odemira and Vale de Judeus is a project supported by the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. promoted by Creative Connection.
