CorpoEmCadeia is based on the premise that the processes of personal development and social reintegration are inseparable from a complex network of individual, institutional, and social factors.
Among these, the following stand out: the material, educational, and psychological conditions provided within the prison context; the quality of human relationships; access to educational and cultural programs; contact with the outside world; and the existence of public policies that support and sustain reintegration processes.
The project also recognizes the decisive role of civil society in building more inclusive environments capable of welcoming and valuing the dignity of people who have experienced incarceration.
In this regard, CorpoEmCadeia develops a coordinated set of actions that intervene simultaneously at the individual, institutional, and social levels, contributing to the ultimate goals of punishment: social reintegration and the prevention of recidivism.
