Synopsis
“Artistic Practices in a Prison Context” offers a reflection on the role of artistic projects carried out with people in detention.
At this event, artists, project participants, and representatives from correctional facilities will share experiences and perspectives on the impact and future possibilities of these practices.
The first day includes discussions on the challenges, potential, and lessons learned from implementing these projects, as well as the presentation of the book “corpoemcadeia: dance, prison, and gestalt” by Catarina Câmara, based on the project carried out at the Linhó Prison.
On the second day of the event, three workshops will be held for artists who are developing or intend to develop projects in a prison setting. These sessions aim to share methodologies and processes, fostering peer exchange.
