Odemira Correctional Facility

The Odemira Correctional Facility is a high-security, medium-complexity facility established in 1995 to meet the specific housing needs of the female prison population in southern Portugal.

Currently, it houses approximately 50 women, including both pretrial detainees and convicted inmates, and provides services in the areas of security, psychosocial support, and training and occupational activities aimed at social reintegration.
